How long until I get my cover?
Average observed timing (business days): 5 days in France (3 days fabrication + 2 days transit), 8 days in Europe, ~15 days for the United States and the rest of the world. Your cover is printed on demand — there's no central stock, which is why fabrication alone takes ~3 business days.
How does the AI generation work?
You type a prompt — a scene, a vibe, a style. The AI builds a visual that matches the brief, sized to the Switch 2 cover format. You see the render projected directly onto a 3D cover in your browser. If it's off, regenerate. Until you validate, nothing gets printed.
Detailed vs Simplified mode — which one?
Detailed: busy composition, lots of elements, dense scene. Simplified: cleaner composition, fewer elements — and often the one that prints best. Pick whichever matches your mental brief.
Can I tweak the design before ordering?
Yes. Regenerate as many times as you need. You can also refine the prompt, switch modes, adjust the available colors. Nothing goes to production until you validate the 3D render.
Does the cover fit all Nintendo Switch 2 consoles?
Yes — the cover and base are sized for the standard Nintendo Switch 2. Right now we only support Switch 2. An Xbox Series lineup is planned for this summer.
Does the magnetic system block the console's ventilation?
No. The base is designed to leave the vents clear. No impact on heat dissipation.
Does the cover prevent docking the console?
No. Cover and base have a thickness compatible with standard docking. If you'd rather pop the cover off to dock (force of habit), it takes a second thanks to the magnet.
What's the material? Is it durable?
PLA, CMYK multi-material printed. PLA is a sturdy thermoplastic built for daily handling, resistant to scratches and reasonable impacts. Just don't leave it in a car under the summer sun.
How does the cover attach? Glue?
No glue. A base clips mechanically onto the console (set once, forgotten). The covers snap on top via neodymium magnets. No residue, removable on demand. The day you sell the console, nothing to scrape off.
Can I stack multiple covers?
Yes — that's literally the point. Keep the base on the console and swap covers in a second depending on your mood or the game. Multiple covers stack flat in a drawer; rotate them forever.
If I lose the base, can I buy just a base?
Yes — the base is sold separately for 14 €. Keep your existing covers, just replace the base.
Can I return my cover if I don't like the result once received?
No returns on personalized covers (article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code). That's the trade-off for made-to-order. Precisely for that reason, you preview the 3D render before paying — you see exactly what you'll get. In case of manufacturing defect or non-conformity to the validated visual: we replace it.
Are there forbidden themes?
We reserve the right to refuse an order whose content would be illegal, contrary to public order, or infringe a third party's rights. If we refuse, you're fully refunded. For grey areas, contact us before ordering.
Shipping outside France and Europe?
Yes — United States 22 €, rest of world 15 €. Times vary depending on the destination, count on around 15 business days.
When are you launching the Xbox Series lineup?
This summer. No firm date yet — we'll announce as soon as production is stable. Until then, KoverSmith stays Switch 2 only.
